“And from His fullness have we all received, grace upon grace”(John 1:16). Indeed this sacred verse became a reality to the people of God at Ganapavaram village of Mylavaram Parish when His Excellency, Most Rev. Thelagathoti Joseph Raja Rao SMM, Bishop of Vijayawada blessed the
new chapel on 31st October 2018.
The celebration began at 11:30a.m. with a welcoming dance performed by the students of Little Flower School, Mylavaram. His Excellency inaugurated and blessed the new chapel by conducting proper rituals
and Liturgical prayers. He dedicated it to St.Ann. During the Liturgy of the
Word of the Eucharistic celebration, bishop spoke of the importance of the
church as ‘the house of prayer for all the peoples’(Is 56:7) and ‘the gate of heaven’ (Gen.28:17).
After the Mass, Little Flower Convent Sisters, Catechists, Elders, Legion of Mary members and all other faithful of the parish felicitated the Bishop. The celebration ended with fellowship meal. Together with
my parishioners and faithful of Ganapavaram village in particular, I
would like to thank His Excellency and the diocese of Vijayawada and PIME-Detroit for the financial support extended for the construction of this chapel. The chapel is built in memory of Joe & Ann Kassman and donated by Mrs. Bernardine Biske and the Kassman friends through the PIME-Detroit to whom we are deeply grateful. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the superior and community of Little Flower Convent for their support, to Rev. Fr. Peram Devadatham, Vicar Forane and Parish Priest of Nuzvid and to all other Priests for concelebrating the Solemn Holy Mass and praying for us.May the Lord who made this day a day of
grace, be blessed forever.
